HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (September 25, 2007) – The third Florida Gaming
Summit, set for Oct. 8-9 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
here, offers a unique opportunity for a back-of-the-house tour of
this exceptional gaming property. The tour will be on Oct. 8 from
4:00pm to 5:00pm, prior to the Summit’s opening night reception.
Lyle Bell, Senior Vice President of Information Technology for
Seminole Gaming, will show off the facility’s state-of-the-art
gaming floor primed for the introduction of server-based gaming, and
offer insight into the technology behind a successful casino
operation.
A highlight of the conference program the following day is a
session in which executives from the three Broward County racinos
and Seminole Hard Rock will analyze slot operations and growth
prospects at the Indian casinos and parimutuel facilities.
“The market potential for gaming machines in Florida is
tremendous, with negotiations continuing for Class III gaming at
tribal casinos and the potential expansion of slots or VLTs to other
parimutuel properties,” said panel moderator Charles Anderer,
Director of Trade Events for conference co-producer BNP Media Gaming
Group. “So far we’ve probably only seen the tip of the iceberg.”
The Florida Gaming Summit, expected to attract hundreds of
attendees, includes a Luncheon Keynote Address from Seminole Gaming
CEO James F. Allen, a Welcome Address from Hallandale Beach Mayor
Joy Cooper, and an intensive conference program that includes other
sessions on the view from Wall Street, Indian gaming in Florida and
nationally, the impact of slots on parimutuel operations, and the
political outlook in Florida.
